Winter is dragging on this year. It has been so cold and gray that it is hard to keep my spirits up sometimes.I have realized that one way to get through this never ending season is with whirlwind trips. My sister, Analia and I, have decided that we need to plan a couple of little get-aways in February and March. New York city was the first one.In an attempt to beat the winter blues our parents decided to join us as well. We took the train and met up with our other sister, Rebeca. She had come in from L.A. to see her son in a play and to celebrate her birthday. Though it was cold and gray there, it was so refreshing to be in a different environment. The play was fantastic (especially our nephew) and the hustle and bustle of the city invigorating.
The Jade Hotel is where we stayed and highly recommend. It was lovely and the staff was warm and attentive.
Babbo is a wonderful Italian restaurant. The food was fantastic as was the service.
