Ship Ahoy

Our new toy. If we only knew how to sail it. Her name is the Catchastar. She has been in the family for about 30 years with my father, Rubens as captain. While we still consider him to be the true captain, he is in the midst of training my brother in law, who is the only one of us who really knows how to sail. The hubby, my sister and I are the crew. On the other hand, this dress is a great dress to throw on in the  hot summer months. I think this may be the last striped dress that I post for a while.

Tribute to Cinda

I wanted to post a tribute to a dear friend, Cinda Murdock Sengstack (above right). The mother of some very dear friends of mine. I got to know her back in high school when I met my wonderful friend Mary. Cinda was many things: kind, easy to talk to, fun and quite the FASHIONISTA. Oh yes, I always remember how stylish she looked when I would go over to their house. Head to toe. Perfectly accessorized. She and I shared a love for a store called Garfinckels. I remember how elegant she looked in dresses she wore from there. While she has left us here I can assure you she is the belle of the ball, totally in style, hosting parties for all the angels up above.

On the Green

Another comfy maxi dress. It is great for a hot summer night. I could have used a little suntan but oh well. If the cotton tee shirt fabric reveals to much of your precious body then try a rayon. It won't cling like this one may. 

I knew this necklace would prove to be a great summer piece.
